Salt is a strong anti – inflammatory and antiseptic substance. The solution is effective in killing dental bacteria and infections that cause the gums to swell. Its anti inflammatory nature also relieves swelling and irritation on the gums.

2. Peppermint home remedies for swollen gums

Make a strong paste of pepper mint and water. With a clean finger, apply the paste on the swollen gums and massage it gently. How does this work? Peppermint is a strong antibacterial substance that can kill and eliminate bacteria causing infections. Peppermint also contain menthol. Menthol is a soothing agent that soothes the irritated gums, easing inflammation.

3. Hot tea bags

To cure swollen gums, deep tea bag in boiled water until it is uniformly wet and hot. Press the hot bag against the inflamed gums. Tea bag contains tannic acid, a strong anti – inflammatory substance that is effective in easing inflammation.

4. Turmeric

Gaggle a mixture of turmeric powder and water over the affected gums. Turmeric contain curcumin, a strong anti- inflammatory substance that reduces swelling.
